ABOUT

Heritage Mountain is an area on the North side of Port Moody that is home to a number of walking and biking trails, as well as Heritage Woods Secondary school and the North Shore community park. Because it’s not all the way up the mountain it is still very close to Port Moody Centre where you can experience more of the city life.  A number of the homes are also on the greenbelt, making this an accessible neighbourhood that’s still able to enjoy peace and quiet. Because the majority of the homes are up the mountain, a number of them enjoy beautiful view of the Burrard Inlet and nature of Port Moody.

TRANSIT

Heritage Mtn Blvd has transit running up and down the mountain throughout Port Moody. Because Heritage Mountain is home to the secondary school, this neighbourhood has a pretty good transit score. The nearest skytrain is at Inlet Centre station just up Ioco, which is an addition to the new Evergreen skytrain extension which connects the Tri-Cities to much of Metro Vancouver. Barnet Highway is the nearest major road that will take drivers, as well as transit commuters via the 160, straight in to Vancouver’s Gastown and Waterfront area.

THINGS TO DO

Residents have Newport Village for grocery stores, restaurants, hair studios, and shopping just right down the hill by taking Heritage Mountain blvd. A newer addition to the community is Suterbrook Village, which has a variety of residential and commercial places to offer like a yoga studio, coffee shops, restaurants, and beauty salons. Everything you need including the community centre, gym, ice rink, and public library is within a 5 minute drive or a short bus ride. Although they have access to a number of the trails nearby but outside of their borders. Heritage Mountain also has their own hiking, walking, and biking trails that are a bit more advanced as they are on the hill!
