ABOUT

North Coquitlam is a subarea that consists mostly of high-rise concrete condo buildings, with some townhomes as well. Its area spans over both residential and commercial zoning, and in turn it has a great variety of local businesses, restaurants, and activities for you to try out! It is home to Coquitlam’s largest shopping center, Coquitlam Centre Mall, as well as Lafarge Lake, Town Centre Park, and Glen Park for the outdoor lovers. This central area will provide you with everything you need, all within walking distance or a very short drive, and will ensure that you never run out of things to do!

TRANSIT

North Coquitlam is one of the closest areas to Coquitlam station, the local skytrain and bus station hub. In turn, it has one of the best commute ratings, and will take you in to Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Burnaby, Port Moody, and all the way west to Vancouver. There’s a variety of transportation, including large busses, smaller busses, and the Evergreen skytrain line to ensure you get to where you need to be on time! The West Coast Express is another great option, as it is an express train service with limited stops that brings commuters in to Vancouver’s Waterfront station.

THINGS TO DO

North Coquitlam has a great entertainment rating, as it is home to a number of commercial zones which harbour businesses, restaurants, bars, and karaoke joints. Coquitlam centre mall works as a great place to spend time, window shop, or hang out if you’re more of an indoor person. If you enjoy the outdoors, the best place in North Coquitlam is probably Lafarge Lake & Town Centre Park, which are side-by-side. Lafarge Lake is man-made and has a trail that loops around it, and town centre has everything from skateboard parks to tennis courts to sports fields to tracks. This is a bustling area, so you’ll always have something to do!
