NEIGHBOURHOOD INFORMATION

North Shore Port Moody borders Barber Street and Heritage Mountain, and wraps around the Port Moody Inlet on the Northeaset end. Along Bentley Road, Alderside Road, and various parts of Ioco, a number of the homes offer beautiful view of the Inlet and Port Moody. The subarea offers a mix of condos, townhouses, and detached homes for all levels for buyers.

ABOUT

 The North Shore consists of some of the condos in the Newport Village area, and detached homes – many waterfront properties – along Ioco heading out to Belcarra. These homes are able to enjoy walking trails and beaches nearby, as well as Newport Village and Suterbrook grocery shopping and restaurant areas within a maximum 5 minute drive.

In the heart of North Shore PM, there are a number of facilities, including the city’s fitness centre, public library, City Hall, an ice rink, tennis courts, and soccer pitch. A number of residents enjoy the multi-use trail that passes through this area and stretches all along the Burrard Inlet in to Rocky Point Park.

TRANSIT

All homes in this neighbourhood are within walking distance to a bus stop. Port Moody Station is also nearby, which is a pickup for the West Coast Express that will take you right in to Vancouver’s Waterfront station. At Newport village, there are a number of busses that come by that run all through Port moody, as well as a large main bus running every 15 minutes or less (usually) that goes from Coquitlam station to Lougheed station. The closest access to a skytrain is Ioco station (within the subarea), which will take you right in to Vancouver. Not all homes can walk to the skytrain; however, it is about a 5 minute drive or less away for most.

THINGS TO DO

Residents have Newport village for grocery stores, restaurants, hair studios, and shopping. The North shore is an outdoor lover’s dream, as you’re one of the closest areas to White Pine beach, and there’s a walking trail that goes directly to the local gym/community centre as well as Rocky Point Park where you can enjoy the marina, boardwalk, playground, outdoor pools, and the breweries.
