Coquitlam West is a residential neighbourhood bordering Burnaby, and is one of the closest points in Coquitlam to the highway. It is near to Lougheed skytrain station, and many homes are within walking distance or at least a short bus ride, making it an area well connected to transit.

ABOUT

Coquitlam West is a large subarea bordering Burnaby, that has a mix of condos, townhomes, and detached homes both old and new.  It has very easy access to Lougheed skytrain station, making it an area of Coquitlam that has one of the shortest commutes in to Burnaby, New Westminster, and Vancouver. Residents are able to enjoy the local golf course, businesses, restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centres all within or extremely near to Coquitlam West.

Lougheed Town Centre shopping mall is a hub for the new Evergreen line skytrain extension. Furthermore, it is a 41 acre site that is soon to become a massive urban centre which includes the construction of 23 condo and office towers as well as the redevelopment of Lougheed Mall. Coquitlam West also features the prestigious Vancouver Golf Club which has also hosted the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open.

COQUITLAM WEST TRANSIT

Coquitlam West is an area with a variety of busses running through the main roads and side streets. The busiest areas for transit are Lougheed Highway, Como Lake Ave, Austin Avenue, Clarke Road, and Foster Avenue. The majority of these busses will take you directly to either Coquitlam station or Lougheed station skytrains. It has very easy access to Lougheed skytrain station being the nearest subarea to the hub, making it an area of Coquitlam that has one of the shortest commutes in to Burnaby, New Westminster, and Vancouver.

COQUITLAM WEST NEIGHBOURHOOD AMENITIES

Coquitlam West is home to a number of commercial areas, as there are number of restaurants, bars, delis, and grocery stores to choose from. It is home to the local golf course – Vancouver Golf Course – and is within a 5 minute drive to Lougheed Station.  With such easy access to the highway, you can also venture out to neighbouring cities such as Burnaby, New Westminster, or if you’re interested in going further, Vancouver. As it is a large subarea, you’re also only 5-10 minutes away from the local movie theatre, Coquitlam VIP Cinemas.

Cameron Recreation Centre is also nearby and has a public library and sports facility. Lougheed Mall is also a great shopping centre, which will soon be under redevelopment and expanding.
