Glenwood Port Coquitlam is a neighbourhood on the North side of Poco that has easy access to amenities, parks, and all levels of schools. Because it borders Lougheed Highway and other main roads, it is accessible to transit while the inner roads remains safe and quiet.

ABOUT

Glenwood is a neighbourhood of condos and detached homes in the North side of Port Coquitlam. The majority of homes are on a flat lot, and many around surrounded by parks and outdoor areas.  It has very easy access to the highway, and residents can enjoy a number of activities, businesses, and things to do in the area! McLean Park, Kwayhquitlum Middle School, and elementary and secondary schools are all nearby, making this an affordable family-oriented neighbourhood.

TRANSIT

The westcoast express is an express train with limited stops that has a pickup Port Coquitlam Station. Although the new Evergreen Skytrain line doesn’t extend to Port Coquitlam, there are a variety of busses in the area that will direct you in to Coquitlam station where the Evergreen line does connect. There are a number of busses going west to east down Prairie Avenue, as well as more major busses going along Lougheed highway to Coquitlam station where you can connect to the skytrain. There are also a number of busses heading north to south down Shaughnessy Street and Coast Meridian. Because the bordering streets of Glenwood are all main roads, this is an area with a good transit score. The skytrain line will take you through Coquitlam and Port Moody, then in to locations such as Burnaby, New Westminster, and Metro Vancouver.

THINGS TO DO

Because you are near the highway, you are within a 5-10 minute drive to Coquitlam centre shopping mall (Tri-Cities largest shopping mall), Superstore, Safeway, Pomme organic grocer, Save-on Foods, gas stations, restaurants, and banks in Coquitlam. Coast Meridian is a road bordering the East side of Glenwood, and there a number of commercial areas which have restaurants, bars, pool billiards, and coffee shops. On the West side of Glenwood you can also enjoy the same businesses on Shaughnessy street, which is considered downtown Port Coquitlam. You can venture east in to Pitt Meadows and enjoy the movie theatre, or west out to cities such as Vancouver.
