ABOUT

Just northwest of New Horizons and south of Westwood Plateau, Scott Creek is a neighbourhood that consists of a number of homes backing on to the greenbelt. Walton Park is also right in the heart of Scott Creek and consists of a number of trails to enjoy. Scott Creek has easy access to busses, entertainment, and schools, making this an area where many families stay for 20+ years! Scott Creek’s is definitely a safe, residential neighbourhood with a number of curved street, cul-de-sacs, and courts that provide a safe environment.

TRANSIT

The closest skytrain is at Douglas College station, and for many homes it is within walking distance.  The skytrain will take you through Coquitlam, Port Moody and straight to Vancouver. At Coquitlam station there is also the West Coast Express, an express commuter train service with limited stops that runs in to Vancouver’s Waterfront Station every weekday. The 3 bordering main roads in Scott Creek (Guildford, David, and Johnson) all have busses that run regularly through Coquitlam, with a number that also flow through to Port Moody.

THINGS TO DO

Scott Creek is within walking distance or a 2 minute drive to the largest mall in the Tri-Cities, Coquitlam Centre Mall. With the mall being a hub for businesses, Scott Creek is also close to everything from hairdressers and facialists to grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. The restaurants range from Asian cuisines like Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai food to Western Boston Pizza, Red Robins, and White Spot joints. Your closest movie theatre is Silvercity Coquitlam near Maillardville, about 10-15 minutes away. You also have easy access to hiking and trails in Westwood Plateau, which is just north of Scott Creek.

The Coquitlam River is another great outdoor resource nearby where there are a network of trails that are great for a hike or casual stroll. In the summer, a number of residents often bring their families to the river to enjoy tube rides on hot days. The river also attracts salmon and the occasional trout, providing entertainment for fishers that enjoy the sport. Scott Creek is also nearby to a number of outdoor places to go, such as walking trails, Glen Park, Lafarge Lake, and town centre sport’s park.
