Harbour Chines is an entirely residential area, so it doesn’t have any businesses/commercial zones within it. (keep in mind it is a fairly small subarea) However, that being said, it is a direct bus or 5 minute drive to Burquitlam plaza, which has grocery stores, restaurants, a shopper’s drug mart, and basically everything you would ever need. As it neighbours Chineside, you’re also extremely close to Como Lake Village which harbours the same type of amenities as Burquitlam Plaza, with a Starbucks, local baker, No frills grocer, gas station, and liquor store. The Poirier Sport and Leisure Centre, on Poirier Street, is also nearby and offers ice rinks for hockey, figure skating, and curling, as well as a fitness gym and a pool. Dogwood Pavilion and the Public Library are also nearby.
Because you’re also just south of Port Moody, this is another area where you can enjoy the perks of both Coquitlam & Port Moody! Rocky Point Park in Port Moody is a family-friendly destination with an outdoor spray park, pool, boat launch, walking trails, the Boathouse Restaurant, Rocky Point Ice Cream, and more. Across the park is also Port Moody’s “Brewers Row” which is a collection of 4 craft breweries for enjoyment.
