   Consider building a shower than is separate from the tub, or one that is more open-concept and less confining than a standard shower stall. 6. Choose a functional tub.

   Bigger isn’t always better, and a tub that’s too large might end up making your bathroom crowded. A 60-inch tub is fine for most people – but get in the tub and test it out before you buy it! Assess the angled back and lip for comfort and neck support –- a tub for two people slants at either end and has taps in the middle. If you only have enough space for a small tub, buy an extra-deep one. If your bathroom is large enough, a stand-alone tub is an elegant feature.

7. Design lighting that is functioning and stylish.

   Your lighting style should speak to your design concept. Incorporate layers of light; recessed, sconces, and decorative flushmounts/pendants all set the tone. If you’re not a fan of super bright lighting all the time, then you can install dimmers and adjust as you see fit!

8. Buy a quality toilet.

   Once you buy a quality toilet, you’ll never go back. Models with elongated bowls and seats are usually most comfortable, and if you can get a heated function we guarantee you will LOVE it.

9. Incorporate luxury into your bathroom renovation.

   If you’re fortunate enough to have lots of space to work with, indulge yourself with an expanded spalike bathroom that includes a dressing room. Consider adding a TV, fireplace, makeup vanity, or large comfortable chair.

    If you are using cabinets, then strongly consider a solid surface counter top such as granite or natural stone. These materials are hygienic when properly sealed and provide lasting beauty that surpasses any other man made products.
