Anmore is an area on the upper north west side of Port Moody that typically boasts large detached homes with large lots or acreage. It is definitely the ritzer area of Port Moody, as many of the homes tend to be luxury homes and large acreages. A large number of the homes are on the greenbelt or atleast nearby/in view of the forest, making this a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Anmore is definitely a nature lover’s dream. The neighbourhood includes two parks, Buntzen Lake and Belcarra Regional Park, where residents and people throughout Greater Vancouver come to hike, picnic, canoe, kayak, and enjoy the lake on a hot summer day. This area encompasses Pacific Northwest’s undeniable beauty, and is a place where you can really just get back to the basics.
While many residents enjoy the solitude, they are also near enough to amenities at Newport Village, as well as the Port Moody Recreation Centre and the Public Library.
