Burke Mountain is located on the North East side of Coquitlam, and borders Port Coquitlam at Coast Meridian and Victoria. Burke Mountain consists of both detached homes and townhomes, and is an area of Coquitlam that has recently undergone massive development and rezoning. Therefore, the majority of the properties are year 2005 or newer. Many of the homes are on the greenbelt, making Burke Mountain a hub spot for nature-lovers and hikers. There are a variety of hiking trails and biking trails in the neighbourhood and Minnekhada Regional Park nearby. The newer detached homes typically consist of a smaller lot, with a large interior square footage space, and the townhomes typically range from 1200-1500 square feet for a 3 bedroom and 1600-2400 square feet for a 4 bedroom (interior space).
A fast-growing subarea, there are a number of amenities, schools, bus routes, and community centres in the works, in addition to those that are already in place. The neighbourhood is just a short drive or direct bus ride to the new Evergreen Skytrain extension that takes you right in to surrounding cities and Metro Vancouver.
