Coquitlam West is a large subarea bordering Burnaby, that has a mix of condos, townhomes, and detached homes both old and new. It has very easy access to Lougheed skytrain station, making it an area of Coquitlam that has one of the shortest commutes in to Burnaby, New Westminster, and Vancouver. Residents are able to enjoy the local golf course, businesses, restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centres all within or extremely near to Coquitlam West.
Lougheed Town Centre shopping mall is a hub for the new Evergreen line skytrain extension. Furthermore, it is a 41 acre site that is soon to become a massive urban centre which includes the construction of 23 condo and office towers as well as the redevelopment of Lougheed Mall. Coquitlam West also features the prestigious Vancouver Golf Club which has also hosted the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open.
