Glenayre is a small subarea on the South West side of Port Moody that is bordering Coquitlam heading towards Burnaby. Simon Fraser University is very nearby, making this a convenient location for students or anyone interested in Burnaby Mountain’s Conversation Area, hiking, and trails. It is also home to Glenayre elementary, and some of the homes border the greenbelt.
Glenayre is commuter friendly, with the 97B line regularly running along Clarke Road. It is also nearby the new Evergreen Skytrain extension that connect the Tri-Cities to Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, and various locations in Metro Vancouver. Glenayre is also just a short distance to Lougheed Town Centre, a shopping centre which is currently in the early stages of being constructed in to an urban centre featuring new residential and office towers along with a redeveloped mall.
