New Horizons is a generally flat neighbourhood with a mix of condo’s, townhomes, and detached homes on the northeast side of Coquitlam, some of which back on to a greenbelt.There are a number of busses that go through New Horizons, and many of the homes are walking distance to the skytrain. It holds a number of outdoor places to go, such as walking trails, Glen Park, Lafarge Lake, and town centre sports park.
Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park, which has a small man-made lake, walking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, football/soccer fields, and a track. Nearby, the Evergreen Cultural Centre features a 257-seat theatre for live performances, a rehearsal hall, art studios and an art gallery. As New Horizons borders Coquitlam River, you’ll often see kids tubing down the river, or people fishing, swimming, or hanging out and cooling off.
